Graphite Plug Bushings<\/h4>\n

The bronze bushing is manufactured with machined holes and\/or grooves into which graphite is inserted. These graphite plugs act as the lubricant between the shaft and the bearing. The graphite inserts provide a slippery coating that acts as an ongoing, reliable lubrication between the surfaces.<\/p>\n

This type of bushing is often referred to in the market as SelfLube, plugged graphite, graphited or simply self-lubricating.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Bronze is the ideal material for the manufacture of bushings due to its excellent friction resistance in applications of heavy loads at low speeds. It is hard, corrosion resistant, and operates well at high temperatures.<\/p>\n
